Item J01
Book by Gilles "Stories of Paint Creek"
While not directly related to the Yellowstone Trail, the stories emanate from the area and time of the Trail and they give insight to the times.
My father loved to tell stories and did so at every possible occasion. Not only are the stories colorful but so is the way he recorded them. He kept his large journal in the outhouse and that is where he did his writing. The little building even had a heat lamp for those chilly days. He had a great love of local history and collected stories about people throughout the Cadott [Wisconsin] area. So, although we will leave you to judge the truth of the stories, we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. — Judith Gannon Gilles
7” x 8.5” 108 pages. $15.00 + P&H $5.00.
